# Integration diagrams

> Sequence diagrams that show how the messages of a Brazil rail combine into an integration journey.

An integration diagram shows the order in which messages flow between your institution, the market infrastructure, and the Central Bank in one business journey. Each diagram numbers the messages, names the sender and the receiver, and states the evidence that closes the journey.

## How to read the diagrams

***

* **Origin.** The flows are a suggested reading of the official manuals that BACEN and the market infrastructures publish. A manual defines each message and its fields. A manual does not define the order between messages, so the order shown here is an interpretation.
* **Responsibility.** The participant in the payment arrangement is your institution. Your institution validates each flow against the manuals in force and implements it on top of the Lerian APIs.
* **Scope.** A diagram shows the usual path of a journey. Exceptions, cut-off times, and rules for each product follow the manual of each infrastructure.
