# Managing Balances

> View, read, create, and adjust Account balances — including overdraft limits — from the Lerian Console.

Use the **Midaz Module** to manage the **Balances** held by your Accounts. Each balance tracks the amount of a specific asset available in an account and how much of it can be moved.

## What you can do

* **List balances** for an account to see available and on-hold amounts per asset.
* **Read a balance** to inspect its current state and metadata.
* **Create a balance** for an account in a given asset.
* **Adjust the overdraft limit** of a balance so an account can hold a negative position up to a defined threshold.
