# Midaz API Updates

> Template Engine is now Smart Template, and Portfolio endpoints make entityId optional on create and updatable via the Update Portfolio endpoint.

A few important changes just landed in the Midaz API:

* **Template Engine is now Smart Template** We’ve renamed it to better reflect what it does—create dynamic, context-aware templates that adapt to your data.
* **Portfolio endpoints updated**
* `entityId` is now **optional** when you [Create a Portfolio](/en/reference/midaz/create-a-portfolio).
* You can now **update** `entityId` via the [Update a Portfolio](/en/reference/midaz/update-a-portfolio) endpoint.
