# Deleting a Ledger

> Remove a Ledger from your Organization when it is no longer in use — be aware of consequences before proceeding.

To delete a Ledger, follow these steps:

  This action is **permanent.**  Once deleted, the Ledger **cannot be recovered**. Make sure this is the intended action before proceeding.

<Steps>
  <Step>
    On the **Ledgers** page, locate the Ledger you wish to delete from the list.
  </Step>

  <Step>
    Click the three-dot menu (<Icon icon="ellipsis-vertical" />) in the **Actions** column, then select **Delete**.
  </Step>

  <Step>
    A confirmation dialog will appear.
  </Step>

  <Step>
    Click **Confirm** to finalize the deletion.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Note>
  For auditing reasons, the information about the Ledger will still be available on our platform, but you won't be able to use it anymore.
