# Editing Account information

> Update an Account's name, metadata, or other details from the Console to keep its information current.

To edit the information of an Account, follow these steps:

    From the **Accounts** page, find the Account that you want to edit, click the three dots (<Icon icon="ellipsis-vertical" />) from the **Actions** column, and select **Details**.

    The **Details Account** form will open on the right side of the screen.

  <Step>
    Edit the information as needed and click **Save**.
  </Step>

<Warning>
  You **cannot** edit External Accounts that are automatically created when an Asset is created.
