# Editing an Account Type

> Update an Account Type's information from the Console to refine validation rules and Ledger structure.

To edit the information of an Account Type, follow these steps:

    From the **Account Types** page, find the Account Type that you want to edit, click the three dots ( <Icon icon="ellipsis-vertical" /> ) from the **Actions** column, and select **Details**.

    The **Edit** form will open on the right side of the screen.

  <Step>
    Edit the information as needed and click **Save**.
