# Portfolio and loan accounts

> Read the portfolio dashboard, service loan accounts, and record the refunds that settled contracts owe.

The **Portfolio** section of the [Lender module](https://docs.lerian.studio/en/products/lender/console/lender-module.md) holds the dashboard, the loan accounts, and three refund desks.

## Dashboard

***

The **Dashboard** is the landing screen of the module. It reads the portfolio for a business date:

* Outstanding, current, and delinquent exposure, active loans, and loans in arrears.
* Portfolio at risk at 30, 60, and 90 days, and the delinquency rate.
* Delinquency buckets of 1 to 30, 31 to 60, 61 to 90, and over 90 days.
* The outstanding exposure over recent months, and the movement in the period.
* The register of delinquent loans, with the borrower ID, the amount in arrears, the days overdue, and the oldest due date. Each row opens its loan account.

When Lender has no figures for a business date, the Dashboard says so and asks you to pick another date. When the figures are older than the freshness policy allows, it marks the snapshot as possibly out of date. See [Portfolio and delinquency](https://docs.lerian.studio/en/products/lender/portfolio-and-delinquency.md).

## Loan accounts

***

**Accounts** lists disbursed loans in servicing. Filter by the borrower's full ID, and choose whether to include closed accounts. An account shows one of these statuses, among others: **In arrears**, **Paid off**, **Written off**, **Ceded**, **Ported**, **Renegotiated**, or **Reversed**.

Open an account to read:

* The installment schedule, the transactions, the charges, and the audit trail.
* The deferred origination fee, with a check of whether the ledger matches the contract.
* The credit operation descriptor, including the rates, the CET, and the outstanding amounts, for today or for a past valuation date.
* The CET disclosure frozen with the contract, the PDD stage and its transitions, and the problem-asset declarations.

An account that no longer takes repayments, prepayments, reschedules, reversals, or charges shows a notice. Its reads stay available.

### Actions on an account

| Action | What it does |
| - | - |
| **Record repayment** | Records a repayment. **Preview allocation** shows where the payment lands before you record it. An amount that no open installment can take is held as unapplied cash. |
| **Reschedule** | Appends a new schedule version with a new term and first due date. You can waive the open late fee and default interest. Nothing is edited. |
| **Reverse** on a repayment | Records a new compensating entry. The original transaction stays in the trail. |
| **Apply charge** | Applies a charge from a charge template of the product version. |
| **Settlement quote** | Gets a quote for a partial prepayment or a full settlement, then settles against that exact quote. A full-settlement quote can issue a Pix or boleto charge for what the held cash does not cover. |
| **Record transition** | Moves the account to a PDD stage. A move to stage 2 or 3 suspends interest accrual. |
| **Declare assessment** | Records a qualitative problem-asset declaration against a norm article, with its evidence. Declaring the same article again with the verdict off withdraws it. |
| **Write off** | Takes the contract off the book as a credit loss. Money recovered later is booked as a recovery. |

## Refund desks

***

Three screens list the money that Lender holds for a borrower or a worker and your treasury still has to return. In each one, you record a return that was already paid outside Lender. Lender books it out of the held cash. The entry is permanent.

| Screen | What it lists | What you record |
| - | - | - |
| **Payoff refunds** | Settled contracts whose payoff still owes the borrower money: interest paid for days after the payoff, and held cash above what the payoff spent. | **Record refund**, with the amount and the date it was paid. |
| **Collection refunds** | Collected money held as unapplied cash because no open installment could take it. | **Record return**, with the date and the treasury reference. Lender books the whole held amount. |
| **Over-deduction refunds** | Payroll deductions larger than a month's installment, held as owed back to the worker. | **Record over-deduction return**, with the date and the treasury reference. Lender books the whole held amount. |

The collection and over-deduction desks need the permission for Consignado operations.
