# Managing Operation Routes

> Manage Operation Routes in the Console: list, create, edit, and delete the rules that select the accounts on each side of a transaction.

Use the **Midaz Module** to manage the **Operation Routes** of the current Ledger. An operation route is a rule for one side of a transaction. It sets which accounts can take part in that side.

You can also create operation routes inside an Accounting Route. For the full routing model, refer to [Managing Accounting Routes](/en/products/midaz/console/managing-accounting-routes) and [Accounting Routes entities](/en/products/midaz/transaction-routing-entities).

## Accessing the Operation Routes page

***

<Info>
  The **Accounting** section of the sidebar appears only when you enable the **Validate Routes** setting for the current Ledger. To enable it, select **Edit** for the Ledger, go to the **Settings** tab, and toggle the **Validate Routes** switch.
</Info>

To open the page, select **Operation Routes** in the **Accounting** section of the left sidebar menu.

<Warning>
  **Operation Routes validation disabled**. If you open this page by URL while **Validate Routes** is off, a banner appears at the top of the screen. The Ledger does not process the operation routes registered here. Entries follow these rules only after you enable **Validate Routes** in the Ledger settings.
</Warning>

The page lists the operation routes of the current Ledger in a table:

| Column | Content |
| - | - |
| **Title** | The name of the operation route. |
| **Description** | The description of the operation route. |
| **Operation Type** | The side of the transaction that the route validates. |
| **Rule Type** | The validation rule. Hover over the value to see the alias or the Account Types that the rule accepts. |
| **Metadata** | The metadata of the operation route. |
| **Actions** | The menu with the **Details** and **Delete** options. |

If the Ledger has no operation routes, the page shows the message **You haven't created any Operation Routes yet.** and a **New Operation Route** button.
