# SCR in Cabine

> The Lerian SCR workspace in Lerian Cabine.

The Lerian SCR workspace in Lerian Cabine has one screen. Administrators of your institution use it to set how long Lerian SCR keeps the audit record of each consultation.

## Retention

**Configuração** opens when you choose SCR in Cabine. Its section **Retenção** holds one definition, the retention period of the consultation audit records.

* **Manter tudo** keeps every record.
* **Definir prazo** deletes the records that are older than the period that you enter in **Eliminar após (anos)**. The field takes whole years from 1 to 100. Cabine warns you when the period is below 5 years.

**Salvar** opens the review **Revisar prazo de eliminação**. When the new period removes records, the review says that deleted records cannot be recovered. A retention change takes effect at the next purge sweep.

Cabine reads the definition with `GET /v1/client-system/client_policy`. It saves the period with `PUT /v1/client-system/client_policy/retention.audit_max_age`. [Integrating with Lerian SCR](https://docs.lerian.studio/en/rails/scr/scr-integration.md) lists this operation. Reading needs `scr:client-system:read`. Saving needs `scr:client-system:write`. When Lerian SCR refuses a save with `403`, Cabine locks the screen and shows **Somente leitura**.
