# Promote a loan product version to current

> Repoints a LIVE loan product at another of its versions. New loan applications originate on the promoted version from this moment; every contract and every application already in flight keeps the version it was born on, and its schedule, pricing and charges go on being read from that version. The product must already be active — activation is the door its first version comes through — and the version must be one of this product's own.
