# Closing balance reported by the STR and items pending at closing

> Returns the day close that the STR reported: the closing balance (`closingBalance`) and how many transfers were still pending or were rejected at the end of the cycle. Use it for the daily check between what the institution sent and what the STR settled.

Give `date` (`YYYY-MM-DD`). Without `date`, the service uses today in the institution time zone. While the STR has not closed the cycle for the date, the response is 404 `TED-0010`.
