# Verify audit trail integrity (admin)

> Re-verifies a contiguous slice of the institution's append-only audit log by leaf index, without decrypting any payload. Returns a tamper / internal-deletion report. The institution comes from the path; a malformed institutionId is 400 and a caller without the role is 403.
