The Fee Debts page lists the fee debts of a ledger. A fee debt is the part of a deferrable fee that the payer could not fund. From this page, you can also collect the open debt of a balance.
Enable the Fees Engine in Midaz module settings before you use this page.

Accessing the Fee Debts page

In the Midaz Module sidebar, expand Fees Engine. Select Fee Debts. The page lists the fee debts of the Ledger that you select in the organization switcher. By default, the page shows the open debts. Use the filters to change the list:
  • Account Alias and Balance Key: show the debts of one balance. Without a Balance Key, the page uses the default balance of the account. Select Apply filters to use them.
  • Status: show Open debts, Settled debts, or All.
When you filter the list by account and it has debts, the page also shows Total open, the total that the balance owes. Each row shows:

Collecting open debt

A collection settles the open debts of one balance from its available balance, without a new credit.
1

Choose the balance

In the row of a debt with a remaining amount, select Collect.
2

Review the figures

The Collect open debt dialog shows the Debtor balance, its Total open debt, and its Available balance.
3

Confirm the collection

Select Collect. The Console shows the collected amount, or a warning if Midaz collected nothing.
The collection applies to all the open debts of the balance, not only to the debt in the row. Midaz settles them oldest first, up to the available balance, and can settle part of a debt. It charges no fee on the collection. You cannot revert a collection. The Console collects up to the full open debt of the balance. To set a maximum amount, use Collect open fee debts with maxAmount. If you do not have permission to collect fee debt, the Console does not show Collect.
