Affects
Teams configuring balance overdraft behavior in Midaz. This update applies to the public documentation portal. It does not change the runtime API behavior unless the linked product documentation says otherwise.
What changed
Midaz now ships with a dedicated Balance Overdraft guide, plus a complete error reference for the feature. The new content explains how to configure overdraft limits per balance, how settlement and reversal flows behave when a balance goes negative, and what to expect at API level.
What’s new
Balance Overdraft guide
A new page covering everything teams need to enable and operate overdraft on a balance:- Balance Overdraft — concepts, configuration, behavior on debits and credits, settlement rules, and operational guidance.
Updated balance and transaction pages
- Balances — now references the overdraft fields and links out to the new guide.
- Transactions overview — clarifies how overdraft interacts with transaction flows.
Error reference
Ten new error codes (0167–0176) have been added to the Midaz error list, covering overdraft validation, limit breaches, and settlement edge cases.
OpenAPI specification
The Midazledger.yaml spec has been updated to document the overdraft fields on balance and transaction schemas, so SDK and client codegen reflect the feature.
