Observability in Midaz enables you to monitor metrics, logs, and traces across your deployed environments — helping you understand system behavior, identify issues, and maintain operational performance. Telemetry is collected using the OpenTelemetry framework, processed by a Client Collector in your infrastructure, and routed securely to Lerian’s managed observability stack (Prometheus, Loki, Tempo, and Grafana).

How it works

Midaz uses a dual observability model:
  • Client side — You manage your own telemetry configuration at
components/infra/grafana/otelcol-config.yaml, defining processors, filters, and authentication keys.
  • Lerian side — Lerian operates the managed collector and storage stack, ensuring security, consistency, and high availability.
All data sent to Lerian is encrypted in transit and sanitized before leaving your environment.

Key benefits

  • Unified visibility across metrics, logs, and traces
  • Integration-ready via OpenTelemetry standards
  • Preconfigured dashboards in Grafana
  • Secure data routing and tenant isolation
