What changed
The Midaz Console evolved from a standalone open-source interface into a fully integrated module within the Lerian Console. This transition reflects a broader shift: separating Midaz as a core ledger engine from the platform-level tools that manage it.
| Aspect | Before (prior to v3.5.0) | Now (v3.5.0+) |
|---|---|---|
| Distribution | Bundled with the Midaz repository | Part of the Lerian Console |
| License | Open source | Commercial (Lerian Console) |
| Scope | Standalone admin interface | Integrated product module with cross-product capabilities |
| Development | Community-driven | Maintained and developed by Lerian |
Midaz itself remains fully open source. Only the Console — the visual management interface — has moved to the Lerian Console platform.
For existing users
If you are running a Midaz version prior to v3.5.0, the Midaz Console remains available as part of your open-source installation. It continues to function as expected within those versions.
Moving forward
The Midaz Module in the Lerian Console provides everything the standalone Console offered — plus unified authentication, cross-product navigation, and ongoing feature development. To explore what the Midaz Module offers, visit the documentation:
