The onboarding experience in the Midaz Module is a guided, step-by-step flow designed to help you set up your organization and create your first Ledger — fast, frictionless, and ready for action. We built it to be intuitive and efficient, so you can hit the ground running.

Onboarding process


The onboarding kicks in automatically if you don’t have an Organization set up — either because you haven’t created one yet or because you deleted all existing Organizations. This flow supports you through the initial setup. It’s easy to follow, and you’ll always know where you are and why each step matters. In a few minutes, you’ll have your Organization and your first Ledger up and running — both required to access the full platform.

Starting the process

To get started, click the Let’s go button on the first steps window.

Part 1: Creating your Organization


The first part of onboarding guides you through creating your Organization in three steps.

Step 1 – Set up your Organization details

This is the foundation. Here, you’ll enter key information about your Organization — used internally for identity, structure, and access control. Required fields:
  • Legal Name – Your company’s official business name. This is also how we identify the Org internally.
  • Trade Name – The name your company does business as (DBA).
  • Document – Your legal identifier (e.g., CNPJ, EIN, or other registration number).
These fields are permanent. Once submitted, they can’t be changed — this ensures data consistency and regulatory compliance.
After filling in the details, click Next at the bottom of the screen.

Step 2 – Add your Organization’s address

This step makes sure your Organization is properly registered — for internal records, legal compliance, and features like invoicing. Required fields:
  • Address – Street address (line 1)
  • Complement – Additional address information (optional)
  • Country – Select from the dropdown
  • State – Select from the dropdown (based on country)
  • City – Your city name
  • ZIP Code – Postal code
You can update your address anytime in the Organization settings.
Once the form is filled out, click Next at the bottom of the screen.

Step 3 – Add a theme (optional)

Make the Midaz Module feel like yours by uploading your Organization’s Icon. Icon format:
  • SVG or PNG file
  • 256x256 px
Once submitted, the system creates your Organization in the backend and returns a unique organizationId. Your icon becomes part of the Organization’s metadata.
No icon? No problem — you can skip this step and configure it later. A confirmation dialog will ask if you want to finish without setting up the theme.
After uploading your icon, or if you’re skipping this step, click Finish.

That’s it for the Organization! You’ll see a confirmation dialog — click Continue to move on to creating your first Ledger.

Part 2: Creating your first Ledger


After your Organization is created, you’ll be guided to create your first Ledger. The Ledger is a key part of Midaz. It’s where you’ll manage your Assets, Accounts, and Portfolios with precision. Required field:
  • Ledger Name – A unique name for your Ledger. This is how we identify the ledger internally.
You can configure additional metadata later. An informational alert on the page reminds you of this option.
Enter a name for your Ledger and click Finish to complete the setup.
