Creating an Account

AttentionAn Account must be linked to an existing Asset. Make sure to create the Asset first before creating the Account.

To create an Account, follow these steps:

From the Accounts page, click the New Account button (figure 1).

The New Account form will open on the right side of the screen.

Fill in the information and click the Save button.

i. If you have created a Segment, you can use the Segment field in the Account Details tab to link it to the Account.
ii. If you have created a Portfolio, you can use the Portfolio tab to link it to the Account.

TipWhen creating an Account, you’ll need to set an alias. You’ll use it in transactions later, so make sure to save it.
