Here, you’ll find:
- Accounts: The fundamental financial unit in a Ledger. Each Account is linked to a specific Asset and records debits, credits, and balances. Midaz also supports External Accounts for tracking value that flows in or out of your organization.
- Portfolios: Logical groupings of Accounts belonging to a single entity, such as a customer or business unit. Think of a Portfolio as a wallet containing multiple asset-specific Accounts for the same holder.
- Segments: Clusters of accounts grouped based on specific characteristics and associated benefits. Segments enable financial institutions to tailor advantages, services, and conditions to each group — like premium card tiers or student accounts.
