Midaz Topology

This document offers an overview of the entire system, highlighting its hierarchical structure and interconnections.

The Midaz topology reflects a carefully crafted structure, empowering scalability and innovation across its core operational areas. By integrating modular layers and interconnected domains, Midaz provides a seamless connection between processes, data, and entities, ensuring clarity and efficiency at every step. In Figure 1, you can find an overview of how the system operates.

Core Components

Authorizer

  • Acts as the gatekeeper, ensuring compliance and secure access control. Every operation flows through this layer for validation before engaging with the platform.

Midaz

  • Midaz acts as the engine of transformation, linking all domains into a cohesive and adaptive platform.

Data Layer

  • The backbone of the system, offering centralized management and ensuring consistent, reliable data flow across domains.

Domains and Relationships

Organizations

  • Represent the foundational entities in the platform.
  • Serve as the starting point for associated structures, such as Ledgers, Portfolios, and Transactions.

Ledgers

  • Serve as the pillars of financial integrity and transparency for each organization.
  • Interconnected with the Data Layer to deliver precise, reliable transaction data.

Assets

  • Represent financial holdings or tracked items.
  • Linked to Ledgers to ensure accurate valuation and comprehensive tracking.

Portfolios

  • Organize and manage accounts linked to financial products or clusters.
  • Offer a hierarchical structure that includes:
    • Accounts: Categorizing and linking to multiple portfolios.
    • Segments: Aggregating related financial items into cohesive units.

Transactions

  • Central to the execution and management of financial operations.
  • Encompass key elements such as:
    • Operations: Covering transfers, payments, and adjustments.
    • Chart of Accounts: Ensuring standardized financial categorization and traceability.

Data Flow and Integration

The Midaz system is built on seamless integration:

  • Authorizer ensures requests meet platform rules before proceeding.
  • Data Layer functions as the unified conduit for communication between domains.
  • Domains like Portfolios and Transactions are tightly integrated to ensure streamlined operations and data precision.
