Accessing the Sources tab
1
In the Matcher sidebar, go to Configure → Contexts.
2
Click the name of a context to open its page.
3
Select the Sources tab.
Sources list
The tab groups sources under Left side and Right side. Each row shows the source name and a type badge. A live source row can show these buttons:
Select Show archived to include archived sources. Archived sources show an Archived badge.
Before you can activate a context, it needs at least one live source on each side. Archived sources do not count.
Creating a source
1
On the Sources tab, click Add source. The Add source sheet opens.
2
Fill in the source details:
3
Set how Matcher reads and imports the files of the source:
4
Click Save.
You map source columns to Matcher fields on the context’s Field Maps tab, not in the source form. Each live source needs a field map before you can activate the context. A source with a camt.053 option other than Auto does not need one. Matcher reads camt.053 files with the ISO 20022 mapping.
Duplicate detection
The Duplicate key fieldset sets which mapped fields make two rows the same row. Select one or more of
external_id, amount, currency, date, description, fee_amount, and fee_currency. The default key is external_id alone.
You can select description, fee_amount, and fee_currency only when the field map of the source fills them. A new source has no field map yet, so these three stay unavailable until you map them and edit the source.
The form can show Detection last changed with a date. Rows that Matcher imported before that date keep the key they had. Matcher does not detect a duplicate that spans that date.
Matcher does not import a row that repeats the duplicate key of an earlier row. Duplicate handling sets what happens next:
Editing a source
Click the pencil button on a source. The Edit source sheet opens with the same fields. Change the fields and click Save.
Managing ingestion schedules
An ingestion schedule sets when a source pulls in data by itself. It is separate from the matching schedules of the context, which set when matching runs.
1
Click the calendar button on a source. The Ingestion schedules sheet opens. It lists the schedules of the source, enabled and disabled.
2
Click Add ingestion schedule.
3
Fill in the schedule:
4
Click Create schedule.
Running a manual fetch
A manual fetch pulls files from a remote endpoint and imports them now.
1
Click the download button on a source. The Run a manual fetch sheet opens.
2
Fill in the Transport fields. The sheet marks the required fields.
3
Optionally, type a Format hint (optional), such as
csv. Matcher uses it for files that do not declare a format.4
Click Run fetch.
Extracting from a document
Use document extraction to get transactions out of a PDF statement. Matcher sends a capped slice of the document’s text layer to the language-model provider Lerian configures for your environment. When the PDF has no text layer, Matcher sends the PDF itself. Matcher proposes candidate transactions. Matcher imports nothing until you approve them.
1
Click the document button on a source. The Extract from a document dialog opens.
2
Select one PDF file in PDF document. The file can be up to 100 MB.
3
Click Extract.
4
When the dialog shows the number of candidates, click Open review. You review the candidates on the Extraction Review page.
Archiving and restoring a source
You cannot delete a source. You archive it instead. An archived source leaves the live sources, the setup readiness, and matching of the context. Matcher keeps its imported transactions and its field map.
1
Click the archive button on a source. The Archive source? dialog opens.
2
Click Archive followed by the source name.
3
To bring the source back, select Show archived and click the restore button on the source. In the Restore source? dialog, click Restore followed by the source name.
