Accessing the Reconciliations screen
Click Operate → Reconciliations in the Matcher sidebar. The screen works on the Active context that you select in the Matcher sidebar. Badges under the header identify the context. The screen has two parts: the Run match panel and the Run history table. If no context exists, the screen asks you to create one and shows a Browse contexts button.
Importing data first
A run matches only the transactions that you imported into the context. To upload a file, use Operate → New Reconciliation. See Uploading reconciliation data.
When the panel finds no imported transactions in the context, it shows the warning This context has no transactions to match. The warning has an Import data button, and you cannot click Run match.
Run modes
Choose a mode in the Mode list before you start:
Starting a run
Click Run match. The engine runs the match while the request is open, so the button shows Starting… until the run ends. You cannot change the mode during a run. Below the controls, a progress block shows the run ID, its status, its mode, and the Started and Finished times. If Matcher refuses to start the run, the message The run could not start shows the reason from Matcher. A run that fails shows its failure reason below the status.
Following a run in progress
While a run is in progress, the panel refreshes every two seconds. It shows a Stop watching button. The button stops the refresh in your browser. The run continues in Matcher. After three minutes, the panel stops the refresh and says that the run takes longer than expected. Click Recheck status to refresh again. The run detail page refreshes in the same way.Reviewing results
When a run completes with transactions to evaluate, a bar shows the matched share of the run as a percentage. Below the bar, the Matches figure gives the number of match groups. A list of statistics per side follows:
Below the statistics, a line confirms the mode. For a commit run, it says that Matcher persisted the matches and exceptions to the context.
If the run completes with no transactions on either side, the panel shows no statistics. It shows a warning that no transactions matched, with an Import data button.
Viewing match groups
After a run completes, click View match groups to open the run detail page. The page shows the run summary and the match groups of the run. A dry run writes no match groups, so its detail page lists no groups. See Managing matches.
Run history
Below the panel, the Run history table lists the runs of the context, newest first. Click a run ID to open its detail page. Click View exceptions on a row to open the exceptions queue for that run. See Managing exceptions. While a run on the page is in progress, the table refreshes and shows a Live badge. For the columns and the run statuses, see Operational history. If the context has no runs, the table shows a Run reconciliation button. The button takes you to the Run match panel.
