Accessing the Contexts page
In the Matcher module, select Configure → Contexts.
Context list
The table hides archived contexts until you set the Status filter to Archived. You can also filter by Type. The list shows 50 contexts per page, with Previous and Next controls.
Context statuses
You archive and restore contexts. You do not delete them. See Context actions.
Creating a new context
The Contexts page gives you two ways to create a context:
- New context opens a side sheet with the context form. Fill in the fields and click Save. The Console then opens the detail page of the new context.
- Set up by hand opens the guided setup. It takes you from the context form to a first match run in six steps. See Context setup wizard.
If you select a fee normalization mode, add a fee rule on the Fee Rules tab. You define the fee schedules themselves in Settings → Fee Schedules. See Managing fee schedules.
Sign convention
The How a payment appears field has two options:- Same sign as what it pays (default): a payment carries the same sign as the item it settles. A negative amount is a reversal.
- Opposite sign of what it pays: a payment carries the opposite sign of the invoice it settles.
Context detail page
Click a context name in the list to open its detail page.
Next step card
While a context is not ready, a Next step card appears above the tabs. It tells you what Matcher needs next, for example: “Add at least one right-side source.” Click Continue setup to open the tab where you complete that step. The card disappears when the context meets every activation requirement.Tabs
Context actions
The actions sit in the page header, so you can use them from every tab:
The edit form also has a Status field with Active, Paused, and Archived. A Draft context also lists Draft. To pause or resume a context, change its status there. To activate a Draft context, set its status to Active. Matcher refuses the activation until the setup is complete. The Next step card names the next item to set up.
You manage sources, field maps, rules, matching schedules, and fee rules inside the context detail page. They have no separate pages.
