Use the Disputes page in the Matcher module of Lerian Console to track disputes. A dispute is a formal challenge against an exception. You open a dispute from the exception page. Then you submit evidence and record whether the dispute was won or lost.

Accessing the Disputes page

Click Exception Handling → Disputes in the Matcher sidebar. The list shows disputes from all contexts, not only the Active context. Above the filters, badges count the disputes on the current page: On page, Open, Pending evidence, Won, and Lost.

Filters

The list updates when you change a filter. If no dispute matches the filters, the empty list shows a Clear filters button.

Dispute lifecycle

A dispute that you open from an exception starts in the Open state. When you close it, you record the outcome: Won or Lost. A Won or Lost dispute takes no more evidence, and you cannot close it again. Closing a dispute does not change the exception or its transaction. To close the exception, resolve it on the exception page. See Exception details.

Click a dispute ID in the list to open the Dispute page. A breadcrumb above the title links back to Disputes. Below the title, you see the dispute ID and its state. While the dispute is Open, the header can show Submit evidence and Close dispute. The page has two panels: Information and Evidence.

Evidence

The Evidence panel lists the evidence items. Each item shows its comment, who submitted it, and when. An item with a link shows Open attachment. If the dispute has no evidence, the panel shows “No evidence submitted yet.”
