When the copilot appears
The copilot appears only when your Console has the address of a Narya host. The address comes from
NARYA_BASE_PATH. See Console environment variables. Without the address, Matcher pages show no panel.
The panel also stays hidden when Narya answers that it does not serve your organization (NRY-0030).
The panel appears on every Matcher page, beside the page on a wide screen and below it on a narrow one.
Open and close the panel
The panel starts as a tab named Copilot. Select the tab to open the panel. Select the collapse icon at the top of the panel to close it. The Console remembers in this browser whether the panel is open.
Ask a question
Type in the box at the bottom of the panel and press
Enter. Press Shift + Enter for a new line. A message holds up to 8,000 characters.
While the copilot works, the panel shows Working on it… and the answer arrives as text.
A link in an answer opens only when it leads to a page of the Console. A link to another Matcher page opens without closing your conversation. Any other link shows as plain text.
Answer its questions
Sometimes the copilot asks you a question instead of answering. The panel shows a card with up to four questions. For each question, choose an option. Some questions let you choose more than one. The copilot can mark an option Recommended. To give your own answer, type it in the box of the last option. Send answer turns on when every question has an answer. If the question was already answered or closed, the card says so.
Conversations
A conversation belongs to your browser tab. After you reload the page, the panel shows it again. Select New conversation to start another. If your sign-in session expires before the copilot answers, the panel shows a notice with Ask again. It sends the same question with a new session. If a message does not reach the copilot, the panel shows Try again.
Access
The copilot works with your own sign-in. The Console sends your access token to Narya, and the copilot calls Matcher with it, so it reads what your role can read. When your role lacks a permission, an administrator grants it on your role in Access Manager.
